Because of our success in the field of emergency locating and potholing of buried utilities, gas lines, fiber optic cables, electric lines and pipe lines, many savvy contractors have utilized Hydro-Excavation to perform numerous tasks where machine or hand excavation just isn’t practical.

Borco’s Hydro-Excavating and Industrial Vacuum trucks can use either variable water pressure (up to 3000 psi) or stand alone air to excavate in varying conditions. Our trucks’ vacuum blowers provide airflow of 5300 cfm (cubic foot per minute), and vacuum levels of 28” Hg (inches of mercury). When comparing vacuums, it is essential to understand that conveyed material is suspended in a high velocity air stream created by a vacuum pump. The vacuumed material follows the air as the air is pulled through the 8” diameter vacuum hose. Air is the transport medium, therefore, the higher the airflow, the higher the vacuum loading rate.
Vacuum levels also effect vacuum performance. Resistance is created when pulling air and vacuumed material through the air stream. Higher vacuum levels overcome this resistance enabling conveyance of heavier product and enhancing productivity over longer spans. In other words, the higher the vacuum level, the greater the vacuum's ability to pull heavy product long distances. These powerful forces, acting in unison, allow Borco’s trucks to draw material 100’ vertically, and at a distance of 1000’ from the truck, so the possibilities are endless.
